Facts About Arcanum Draconis

Arcanum Draconis is a constantly changing environment filled with adventure and excitement.  There are, however, a number of constants that are always in effect at any given time.  These should be understood before roleplaying within the realm:

  1. You must register with this website and create a bio here. Once a bio is made it will be approved by Kinjita or a Moderator and your character will be added to the stat sheets.  New Characters will be provided 75 Non-Combat RP Points to use for their Non-Combat Stats.  All New Characters will not be provided with a combat RP points boost unless this is otherwise agreed on by Kinjita or a Moderator.  Character stats can be seen on the links here.
  2. Arcanum resides on the Isles of Chronus which originally were an area where time chaotically changed the lands, altering time to speed up in some areas, slow down in others, and even reverse in rare occasions.  Thanks to taking the time to attune to the island’s energies, Chrono-Arcanist Kinjita Karedric now has stabilized the island so that certain areas flow far faster than normal such as resource locations where trees or ore grows.  Time in other locations, however, flows normally unless something causes Kinjita to change that.
  3. Arcanum Draconis’s lands are guarded by an elite cadre of land-based personnel known as the Dragoneers.  All key locations are assumed to have Dragoneer Guard presence at all times.
  4. Arcanum’s Waterways and Skies are protected by the Arcanum Royal Navy.  Unless otherwise stated in roleplay there are a number of Airships in Arcanum patrolling including on Capital Ship.
  5. Black Powder has no effect in Arcanum.  If you use any black powder weapons you will either be able to locate an engineer to aid you in modifying your weapon to use steam components or if you have the engineering non-combat skill you may be able to modify it yourself.
  6. Magic use is highly regulated, and unregistered magic users may be detained by the Dragoneer Guard until they are registered with the Crown.  This can be done via the Mage Tower.  If Kinjita is not present then please message her with information.
  7. The Isles of Chronus currently reside between two major continents which have their own internal conflicts.  Arcanum currently has trade agreements with a few but is not in active conflict with any of the planet’s major powers, allowing travel to be regulated but not restricted.  Information about the various locations is found here.
  8. We do not roleplay matters of dissension in Arcanum.  If you play a character that makes an attempt to usurp the crown then you will be provided a single warning that this roleplay is not allowed in Arcanum.  If such roleplay continues the account owner will be removed and banned.
  9. Medieval Attire is required at all times.
