With the beginning of the next session (after 9/13/2016), the following information is true:

Winter is here and Uzec’s passes are about to be snowed in.

The Hill tribes have returned – there is a tenuous peace however as a week ago because they heard that the…

The Disith (The Lost) are coming. They are a coalition of 4400 odd Maelith refugees, escaped slaves, Carian farmers, and more who are hard-forged by strife of escape, siege, betrayal, travel, and more. They have passed Derrien and are working their way toward potentially the south bank of the River Azen in the Upper Calder Valley. Their leaders are Desmodia and Rosalinde. They are fervent worshipers of Tyaa (whom they call Zemiya), their god of lightning Perun and others of their pantheon.

Desmodia has agreed to bend knee temporally to the Baroness and already did so to the Margrave’s representative back east. They have a group of twenty leaders called the ‘Elect’.

It has been six weeks since the birth of Henri and Lara; both of which are doing well. Emmeline is with them in Uzec proper. They both seem to have strikingly intelligent eyes.

Typhon Né has set up a second watch tower up near Sliverlake’s south shore. While there is no new activity near Azenkuul, several villagers note a stranger lurking about. They have not been found.

Ailene and Theo are running the store for Elemix, who has been traveling for some eight weeks. He just returned with a set of maps.

A letter returned from Thalassa granting Sir Axiney permission to court Mirel.

Mirel is becoming an able fencer under her paramour’s tutilage. She is also becoming a bit of a witch under Emmeline’s (this is not generally known).

Amelie’s father will have given his answer (OOC: need to read the letter) and Elemix needs to formally meet with Lady Lia Gamache to ask to court Amelie.

Margrave Roland warns that spring looks like a tough time as Maelith has conquered Castigoth and have seized parts of Vaasa. The refugees tried to storm the Aderan walls, but failed with much loss of life. They did instead storm the city of Lycee which is now held by the refugees along with Elangard and Estrasia (whose people fled to Adera). Now League citizens are directly threatened.) Adera’s resources are in a precarious position. The city of Haran and its great bridge are cut off and under a kind of siege.

Storuvan has reopened the north bridge and repairs are under way. Rumors are the Queen rules again directly backed by a mysterious black sorcerer. They too are in a precarious position as they have orcs on the south, refugees to the west, barbarians to the north, and Maelith is working its way through Castigoth to the east.

A new wizard advises the Duke. Alix concludes her service. Her future is uncertain, but she may go and protect the Margrave

Mara’s presence is felt by Emmeline, but she has not appeared yet.
