The Appearance of an unlikly sight

On a snow covered mountain looking down at a village stood a figure covered by a heavy cloak looking on at the Village. A little ways down a fire could be seen barely through the snow storm that was at work on top of the mountain. The figure moved down to the mountain to the fire and as they came into view there were three men standing near the fire in an opening to a cave. As the cloaked one passed one of the men reached out with what looked like a staff trying to bar the cloaked figures path. As that was happening another of them had slipped behind the figure and had pulled a knife out and brought it around to the figures throat. But within a blink of an eye the one with the knife was stagering back and the one that was holding the staff was seeing his arm falling to the ground and the third before he could even draw his blaster had a hole where his heart should be. All that could be seen was the ruffling of the cloak.

A few hours later at a tavern on the edge of the village the cloaked figure closed the old Wooden entrance door and walked over to the bar and placed twenty credit chits on the bar and pointed to the bottle of whiskey on the end. The barkeep hand the bottle and one shot glass to the Figure and the figure moved to a table near the fire and in a spot that all entrances could be seen. Several more hours pass and the locals come and go and just after sundown the tavern was full with people having dinner and carrying on about the days business when old wooden door flung open and in stormed what looked like fifteen Men holding antique blaster rifles and pistols. The man in front walked over to the Barkeep and Asked ” Riggs have you seen any new faces in the village today?” and the way he was asking made everyone in the tavern go silent then Riggs pointed over to the Cloaked figure. The man asking the Question then proceeded to walk over and grab one of the chairs and spin it around with the back facing the table where the Figure was setting and as he sat down the other fourteen began to spread out around the locals in the tavern. Then he said ” traveler did you come in from the northern pass? cause if you did then will you tell me why My men are dead” as he pulled out his blaster and laid it on the table and as he did the other men leveled their blasters on locals. The Figure raised a hand palm out and said in a calm Voice ” the people in the tavern are to be escorted out.” then lowered the hand back under the cloak. Strangely enough the people were escorted out. The man at the at the table looked stunned at what the others had done then he turned back to the figure ” I’m Cpt. Stow and now that they are gone I can say you were killed resisting arrest by the Village Guard” He points to the figure ” Fire”.

The men turned and started to Fire as the figure jumped into the air and the shots ripped through the cloak as it Flew close to the lamp in the ceiling. At that point the figure had landed on the mantel above the hearth. Once the cloak was off the Figure took a more Feminine appearance before springing forward at the men with their blasters not yet aimed at her. she pulled two metallic sticks out of harnesses under her arms and almost in a flash they were being knocked across the tables and benches and into the walls of the tavern. As she was finishing the last of them the one at the table had placed his blaster at the back of her head and said ” For a small woman you fight like a beast”. He pulls the trigger. but the blast was reflected back at the blaster as a blade of light appeared between the blaster and her head. He pushes back as the blast hits the blaster ” Your a jed…….”. Before he could finish what he was saying he was knocked back by a kick to the chest. She then stands and speaks ” You are mistaken I am here to liberate this Village from you and your men” she begins to walk towards him ” you and these butchers have terrorized this Village long enough. first you kill the real guards and then you imprison the Village leaders because they are women and now you claim that I have killed your men.” she then chuckles ” True I did kill those bandits in the hill but they did start it ” with one saber active and being pulled along just an inch off the floor ” The Queen Mother may be to busy to deal with you and your men but this doesn’t mean that you will just have your way” by that time Stow had gotten to his feet and had pulled a vibrosword from his hip before saying ” In the days of our Pirate ancestors you women were our slaves and that is what me and mine wish to return to”. At that point with the saber that was not engaged she went with a forward thrust as she began to activate it and stow used his arms to block and deflect the saber as it slid past him he could see the bracer on her wrist and the Sigel that was placed on it a bird with wings spread and a red jewel in the center. He spoke ” Windcloud!!” before twisting around and using his elbow to knock her back and as he did the sabers in her hands fell to the ground as she was knocked back into the bar then reaching down he picked her up by her neck and threw her over the bar. Instead of jumping over the bar he simply walked around it to where she lay. With is Vibrosword still out he began to bring it down into her back. But before he could she grabbed a broken bottle by the neck and drove it into his boot and foot. He Screamed as the and began to back away but as he did she got to her feet covered in blood scrapes and glass she took that same bottle and ran it into his chest and without a word he just fell over on the ground as his eye’s rolled back in his head. She then looked over at the barkeep ” I was never here” as she pulled a pouch off her side and placed it on the bar ” this should cover the damages” she then retrieved her sabers and put what was left of her cloak in the fireplace and made her way to the door before the barkeep stopped her ” Miss please take this it’s still snowing out there”. he handed her a fur stole. ” thank you” she replied as she put it in he placed a white cape around her and the stole clasping it at the front ” safe journey Mistress Windcloud” he said as she left.
Several hours later still dark and early in the morning she had made it into the windcloud manner where one of the chambermaids was waiting with a worried look on her face ” Lil miss you are cutting it close and where is your cloak ” but before she could say any more the woman had pushed past her and headed into the study where there was an ornate wooden box open on the desk. She hurriedly unclasped the sabers and placed them in the box and closed the lid then turned to the maid ” have a bath drawn for me and bring tweezers and some bacta” as she spoke she unclasped the cape and then the stole revealing the cuts and scrapes and still the glass that was embedded in her skin. After the bath and the bacta the maid had laid out a dress that would cover the other wounds that had not quite healed and she said ” Your mother expects you in the study to go over the business dealings of the past quarter and she is a bit Irate that you seemed to have shirked your duties these past few weeks”. As she went downstairs to the study what she expected was to see her mother and the other heads of the Windcloud Enterprises though when she entered she found only her mother resting against the front of the desk with one hand on the desk and the other on box and all the furniture had been removed from the study. The look on her mothers face was not one of anger but one of resolve as she spoke ” Phenice do you think what we are building here is a joke?. Going out and singlehandedly beating those bandits. how do you expect us to keep hidden the fact that our family are descendants of a jedi and her love the pirate?”. Phenice looked at her and the fact that her mother was wearing training gear meant that she had already knew what she had done before speaking ” Mother I i know not of what you speak I was out at the stables and the warehouse” knowing that she would see through that Phenice eased her way to the door and pulled them shut and as she did what looked like a letter opener came flying into the door. As she turned her mother was moving at her with one of the sabers that was in the box as her mother said ” On top of that you lost both sabers in a fight and ended up using a Bottle to finish the leader of the bandits.” as she slashed at the dress. Phenice began to dance out of the way of the saber just as she did her mother reached up and ripped the sleeve off the her left arm causing phenice to loose her balance and fall to the floor but as she did she called the other saber to her ” you are not the oldest daughter but you are the one that can use the force and that means that you have to be ever more discreet about what you do and where. Your sister is in the capital handling the family business but that doesn’t mean that you can do as you please” her Mother said as she brought the saber down where she lay. But she was able to bring the saber up deflecting her mothers ” Mother I have done as you have asked I have kept my activities out of sight but those bandits were just over the mountain and what if they had come this way?” she said as she spun herself around getting back on her feet. Then she used the saber to cup the dress freeing her legs to move easier. Her mother sighed ” Another Dress ruined. but I guess that’s what I get for having a tomboy” before she slashed at the phenice’s mid. Phenice used her saber to block as she spun around her and came within an inch of her mothers neck only to end up on the other side of the room ” not fair you say we aren’t to use the force to push attackers away” as she picks herself up. Her Mother smirks ” Yes dear but this is between us so its fair game”. the Dueling lasted for several hours and once there was no smashing sounds the chambermaid opened the doors to the study to find Phenice and her mother slumped over resting against the opposite sides of the desk ” Lady Camila your daughter is returning from the capital and she has some of the royal guard with her” the maid said as she was helping her up. Phenice worked herself up and grabbed the box and the two sabers from the floor and hid them in a false panel in the wall before heading upstairs to clean up and change.

While she was in the bath some of the royal guard came in on her and began going though everything in the room and she asked ” Is there anything that I can help you with? ” One of the Guards turned to her and said ” Yes you can get out of that tub and proceed downstairs where the rest of your family is waiting.” then turned back to riffling through the Items that were in the bathroom. Phenice began to climb out of the tub and as she did the chamber maid rushed over with a bathrobe as phenice came out she was wrapped in it. ” have you no shame ordering the Lady out of her bath while you are present” clearly outraged at the guards. By then they were in Penice’s bed chamber where the maid had layed out a simple riding pants and blouse combonation and the stowl from the other night. Once they were downstairs Phenice was greeted by her older sister Atina who looked very displeased at her and her mother. As phenice began to speak Atina raised her hand and said ” Sister take a seat as you can see the Queen mother has been made aware of some bandits in the area and also what seems to be a jedi” Phenice tried her best to look shocked and suprised. Then her mother asked ” thats all fine and well atina but why are there royal guards ransacking our house?” to which Atina responded ” Mother I have taken the positiion as the head of the Windcloud CEO which means that the guards are here ensuring that nothing has been stolen or missapropriated by the staff here and also to inform you and my sister that we will be moving to the capital within a fortnight”. Phenice genuinely looked shocked and her mother was equally so.

Atina had never showed signs of the force so she never knew the history of her family and that made it easy to send her to the capital but now her mother is thinking that that may have been a mistake. Now that they have been set to move to the capital Camila knew that Phenice would be discovered in a heartbeat so she made arrangements for her to take a different route.
Just before they were to depart for the capital Atina revealed one other thing to the family that the Queen Mother had given a title to an outsider and also a planet for her to rule in the name of the Queen Mother. Atina said that the planet was Terephon. With that information and knowing how the Hapes consortium felt about Jedi Camlia pulled Phenice into a now empty study ” My dear I do have something that I need you to do and that is to go out and find what you can about this Meave tarot and what her plans are. I feel that it may attract unwanted attention from the republic and the jedi” Phenice looked confused but at the same time she knew that if her mother was concerned then it wasn’t good. Phenice then asked ” Mother how am I to do this we have only the shuttle and that royal transport?” Camila looked thoughtful for a moment ” Oh child of mine underneath the landing platform we have a few Vessels. One more secret that you have just learned and I have a scout shuttle already fueled and stocked with provisions” she then turns and opens the hidden panel and retrieves the box ” and you will need these” as she hands the box to phenice ” also Crysle will be going with you. lord knows what you will get into that she will be patching up” Knowing that was only a partly a reason to send her daughter off Camila shed a single tear ” now go”

Shorty after the transport lifted off with Camila and Atina on it the landing pad opened and the scout shuttle launched and headed for republic space.
