Recruiting and Orientation

High Lady, House Lord, and Magister ranks are qualified to conduct an orientation. All members of Veteran rank and higher may recruit new members to Vanquished Illusions. 

That said, the Herald position (attached to House Illuminatus) is the position responsible most often for recruitment and orientation.

Orientations can be held at any given time and any day of the week. A 30-45min. announcement before Orientation is advised.

RECRUITING:
In General Chat of any world, enter:
Vanquished Illusions is a Roleplay guild with regular events featuring guild-wide roleplay that takes place across the galaxy up to and including flashpoints and operations. We have a fully unlocked FS and Yavin stronghold! Whisper me for an invitation!

Wait for a few minutes for answers and to send invites. Then move on to the next world!

ORIENTATION:

• The Trainees should gather on the Bridge of the Guild Flagship.
• The main speaker or any high ranks present could inform the Trainees how to make their characters walk;
• Also, politely ask for their pets/companions/mounts to be dismissed for RP immersion.

In character, the speaker introduces themselves then begins to explain what Vanquished Illusions is all about.

Purpose: We are establishing a reputation as a well-organized Guild with ideals that are independent from the Republic and Imperials; we are creating Alliances of our own with others. (Other factions and guilds.)

Note that one’s duty to VI should always supercede personal relationships.

• There is one Jedi faction (currently in charge: Master of the Order Layania)
• The military faction: 331st Battalion. (currently in charge: Commander Kistlakahn)
• The spy faction: VITALS (VI Tactics and Logistics Service (currently in charge: Director Drensdale)

At this stage, don’t worry about discussion of Houses. This is a more advanced topic that should be addressed during training classes.

The speaker or any high ranks can briefly explain the basic rules of RP courtesy considering In Character and Out Of Character as well as tips on Roleplay immersion. (Example: Creating a bio on the website if they so choose.)

The main speaker asks the new Trainees have any general questions and direct any specific ones to the present officers of the affiliated faction after dismissal.

Hand out comms to each Trainees before OOCly giving them the RP CHANNEL: /cjoin Vanquished

Then ask each Trainees which faction they would like to join. Then record this in member notes accordingly. We won’t rank people up at this point. This will happen when they choose their House at the end of the first class or event they participate in.

All are dismissed to ask further questions, ask for a tour, or leave to their own devices if they wish.
