Fifth day of the Second Month, Calpheon’s common calendar
47th day of the season of Amun’s Sleep
“I awoke this morning in a cold sweat. A new dream, an omen… and an ill one at that. I will attempt to write it down before the memory fades from the new dawn.”
“The dream began looking down over a scrubland. Patchy vegetation, giant rocks, and few streams. It was a bright day, but suddenly the sky turned dark, and swirling clouds formed overhead. Lightning and thunder… and a rain of blood. It stained the very soil of the land. Between thunderclaps, I head two loud animal cries. An elephant, coming from my right, and an eagle, coming from my left. The land began to burn and shake, rocks exploded, with new mountains raised and valleys carved. Two large banks of storms came along the ground, towards a central rock I had not seen before. It was black as Set’s heart, pulsing with energy, corrupting the soil, before it exploded into a volcano.”
“The volcano’s firestorm was black, not the color of normal flame. It stretched across all the lands. I saw Valencia and Heidel burning, Calpheon was a crater, the trees of Grana scorched and bare… and Abadyos, my home… was in ruins. The vision of Stygia felt different… more solid and grounded. I fear Stygia has fallen to the corruption eating at it from the Temple of the Sun… I pray Isis has only forewarned me, and not shown me of failure to save my land…”
