The Kitsune Star is lead by Kinjita Savanos with Taeydrenn Naichingeru as Second in Command. The rules of the group are ones that should be adhered to at all times in all areas of the World of Black Desert. These rules apply to every member regardless of rank.
Article 1: Leadership Decisions
Section 1: The Guild Masters and their officers have final say in all decisions needing to be made. While they will be taking the recommendations and comments from our players, their word is final.
Section 1a: Guild Masters or an Officer may elect personnel to aid in administration and enforcement of decisions. This will be followed-up within our forums and their word should carry the same word as the Guild Master or the Officer involved.
Section 2: Any Officer may address concerns with a Guild Master at any time.
Article 2: Group Issues
Section 1: If any member has an issue, problem, concern, idea, suggestion, they are free to approach any officer or Guild Master. If the issue is a minor one then that officer will address it. If the issue cannot be addressed or officer is not comfortable with the situation, they will approach either another officer or the Guild Master. All Officers are available should group members not feel comfortable approaching a particular Officer, or have any issues with an officer or Guild Master.
Article 3: Member Rules
Section 1: Please be respectful at ALL times. This is a game, not real life and nothing in the game is personal. You will find that you’re going to have to deal with members who have years of experience vs. members brand new to Roleplay. Don’t be that rude, extremist member that puts down the other members simply because they don’t have the experience to roleplay very well. Be a leader and teacher at those times. You will earn respect in the long run.
Section 2: No personal attacks, racial, religious, political or sexist remarks or slurs in the chat. This includes ERP and typing out inappropriate behavior. Use Whisper or party chat for that kind of roleplay. Just remember, if the recipient of said “Whisper” gets offended and reports you to an Officer or Guild Master, it will be addressed swiftly and with harsh penalties (up to removal from the Group). Only one warning will be given or if the behavior is considered bad enough, removal will be immediate.
Section 3: That said if you have a problem with someone else in the group, please be an adult and have a conversation about it with them. If an understanding cannot be reached then call for an Officer to mediate. However, remember that we are playing our characters as well and may not be able to respond immediately. If we are called into a situation, and a decision is made; then our word IS FINAL. The issue should be resolved and should not need to be spoken of again. If an issue continues to come up then an investigation will take place and, once that happens, if an understanding cannot be reached then that Officer has the authority to kick parties involved out of the group. Bottom line, be respectful of other members and handle the situation like adults.
Section 4: If you have a problem with a decision the leadership makes, please contact the responsible Officer or Guild Master. Talk to them about it, and ask them for clarification. While they are not required to explain every decision to everyone, they may do so at their discretion. If you feel that the decision was not in the best interest of the group, or that you personally do not like the decision, then inform them. If you are not satisfied with the responses, then contact the Guild Master. We will analyze the situation and make a decision for the best interest of the Group. Remember, this group is our pride and joy and we intend to take very good care of it. As such, if you still do not like our decisions, then we are sorry that you feel that way. There would be nothing left for you to do besides getting over the decision. THERE WILL NOT BE DISSENT in the group in any fashion. We hope we can all be adults about the situation and come to terms amicably.
Section 5: This is an RP group first and foremost. OOC should be kept to a minimum in general or limited to the guild chat. If you must deal with an extended real-life issue then please go ahead and excuse yourself from the RP for the time being. Don’t leave others to wait for you. We aim not to have any disruptions to the RP environment. Major disruptions will be addressed with a single warning. IF DISRUPTION FROM A MEMBER BECOMES A MAJOR OR CONTINUED PROBLEM YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE RP AND THE GROUP, NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
Article 4: Group Chat
Section 1: Please don’t beg for a contract increase or spam for someone to post an item to the Market. It’s not Acceptable and frankly just embarrassing. Asking for help for your character is 100% acceptable, but please remember that everyone else is also roleplaying and building their characters. You might not get help immediately so please be patient. When in doubt, ask an Officer or Guild Master. Chances are you will get that help soon. As above, do not engage in any inappropriate text in any chat channel, take that to Whisper chat. If someone tells you to please stop, take it as a sign that whatever it is you are saying is being offensive to them. Have some respect for your fellow members. Parenthesis used in chat is OOC. If you wish to participate in our RP conversations then please adhere to the standard RP guidelines.
Article 5: Group Attendance
Section 1: Our group is a dynamic one and we have a limited number of seats available within the guild to be used. If you know for a fact that you are not going to be able to be in the game for an extended period of time then please let an Officer or Guild Master know. If we are able to keep you in the guild while you are away then we will do so but it may come to a point that if we do not have any available seats you may be removed from the guild in game, but not in Discord. We’ll notify you thereof such if it happens. If you are away for over 180 days in the game with no notification and we have no available seats for new members then we will assume you are no longer playing and remove you so others may enjoy time with the group.
Section 1a: Active Duty Military Personnel are the exception to the guidelines in Section 1. You will be marked as such in Discord and will be protected from the 180-day removal. We value the sacrifices our Military Personnel make and understand your duties.
Article 6: Group Responsibilities
Section 1: If you have reached an officer rank or have been given a responsibility for the benefit of the Group then you MUST uphold that responsibility. Unless an additional responsibility is given to you, DO NOT take the responsibilities of others. In other words, do YOUR job and let others do theirs. If someone is not present to do their job then the decision about the duties in question will be left to the Guild Master. Appreciate that everyone has personal lives and things happen that effect RP. If someone is gone for their duty and it forces someone else to have to wait, then so be it. Learn some patience.
Article 7: In-Game Mechanics
Section 1: We are primarily a roleplay group but that doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy the game mechanics in general. You are not required to participate in any Node Wars or In-game events unless you wish to do so. The functions of the game past level 50 for a character focus primarily on the PvP (Player vs. Player) aspect of the game. Please do not feel forced to participate in any of those facets of the game at any time.
Section 1a: If you do participate in the PvP aspect of the game then please do so tastefully and with common sense. WE DO NOT AGGRESSIVELY ATTACK OTHER PLAYERS. There are already enough bullies in the game as it is and we do not wish to associate ourselves with such. If you find that you are being PvP’d in a particular area then you can notify someone in the guild chat but we may not always be able to reply. If you want to participate in the PvP aspect of the game, that’s fine. If we receive complaints from folks outside the guild about overly aggressive behaviors from our members we will address it with a single warning reminder. Fielding complaints that someone did or did not do something from outside of the guild is not our idea of fun. The only exception to this rule is confirmed Bots. If a Bot is in your area and we can confirm they are actually a bot via lack of communication or interaction you are free to do what you need to in order to remove them from the area you are in.
Section 1b (Adendum): With the recent updates to the game’s PvP content and score categories if you feel you must participate in a more aggressive PvP stance then please do so on the Arsha server only. That server is meant specifically for PvP and we will allow you to freely PvP as driven on that server only as its primary goal is as a PvP location. Please remember to be respectful and sportsmanlike whenever possible.
Section 2: Do not attempt to blame another guild for the actions of a member of it. We aren’t out to make enemies and would rather everyone be able to enjoy the game to its fullest. If you are harassed by a particular person from another guild then please bring it to our attention so we can address it with their leadership. It only makes sense not to upset the apple-cart over one bad apple.
Article 8: RP/IC Behavior
Section 1: You are free to RP your character however you please. With that said, do try to keep to the established lore of the group and the game in general if possible. If you find that your character’s background, history, or development will deviate from that then notify an Officer or Guild Master so we can go over that and make sure we’re all on the same page with that development. We appreciate the diversity and creativeness of our guild members in the creation of their characters and don’t want to stifle that creative flow too much. If you have a question on if something for your character’s concept or background would be acceptable then please find an Officer or Guild Master to discuss it.
Section 2: Do not kill off other players, or make any permanent changes to their RP without consent. For example, when Freeform sparring (RP) make attempts for hits, don’t assume that you have permission to cut off limbs or permanently scar or kill a player. You don’t. It is not your character, and you don’t have to write the RP for it. If you want to have a serious RP duel, please discuss beforehand with other parties what is acceptable and what is not. When in question, find an Officer or Guild Master.
Section 3: You are not required to engage in RP conflict within the group. If your character decides it best to leave a battleground for their own safety or the safety of others then that is their decision, especially if that’s what your character would do anyway.
Section 4: While not required, it would be appropriate to create a character background and place it in the forums on the website. It will give us a little history on a character and helps to give an idea of where they may have come from. None of this information should be used ICly. We do not take to Meta-gaming of any kind.
Section 5: Suicide is not a matter for RP. While the group cannot restrict whatever goes on in private, suicide will not be tolerated in a public forum or any kind.
Section 6: At no time will we ever force a player to RP in a manner that they are not comfortable with. We freely RP but do not engage in shaming others, purposefully disrupting RP of any other group, or any public form of ERP (Erotic Roleplay) and will not encourage others to do so either privately or publicly. Violation of this policy will be met with a single warning and a probation period determined by leadership. Further transgressions will result in removal of the player from the guild, no questions asked. This rule applies to everyone from new members all the way up to the guild leader.
