ENLISTMENT<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

There are two ways you can enlist in the 331st.\u00a0 The first way is to make a formal request of enlistment by attending a 331st meeting.\u00a0 These meeting are weekly and will be list on the guild calendar.\u00a0 Please be prepared to answer review questions.\u00a0 The decision for your enlistment will be made by the highest-ranking officer in attendance.\u00a0 The second way to enlist is to draft a formal letter and send it by terminal mail. Send your request to (Fee\u2019lyx<\/strong>).\u00a0 Please allow up to five days for a response.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ranks are used in the 331st to show others your position in the chain of command regarding issuing and obeying orders given and standing.\u00a0 It is requested that all 331st personnel make others aware of your rank by making mention of it in the \u201cMEMBER NOTES\u201d column of the guild listing (CTRL G).<\/p>\n

COMMAND STRUCTURE<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

The Chain of command starts at the top with the Post Commander (General)\u00a0The Post Commander has three branches serving under them:<\/p>\n

Ground <\/strong><\/span>Commander<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>\u2013 Responsible for Infantry support postings and tactical movements, including responsibilities listed in Rank Descriptions above.<\/p>\n

Wing Commander<\/span>\u00a0<\/a><\/em><\/strong>– Responsible for Air and Space support postings and tactical movements, including responsibilities listed in\u00a0Rank Descriptions above.<\/p>\n

No matter your rank, you are considered to be a very important member of the 331st.\u00a0 As such, you also represent the 331st in how you act and treat others. Below are quick guidelines to help with this.\u00a0 They are divided up into two categories; Military and Civilian.<\/p>\n

Civilian Protocol<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>–\u00a0 You are expected to give the greatest respect and courtesy to all civilians who look to you for help, guidance, or assistance.\u00a0 And, as a symbol of bravery and courage, you are expected to be a beacon of hope and help for those who are in need.<\/p>\n

No mater a civilians station or title, you are NOT required to salute them at any time. \u00a0 However, You are expected to stand at attention and treat with respect all Civilian authority as if they were your superior.<\/p>\n

Military Protocol<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>– Courtesy among members of the 331st is vital in maintaining discipline during times where members are at attention, or in formal situations which represent the 331st.\u00a0 Military courtesy means good manners and politeness at these times. Below is a list of Positions you will find yourself in and how you should act during these times.<\/p>\n

*Attention<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0– The position of ATTENTION is the basic military position.\u00a0 It indicates you are alert \u00a0 and ready for instruction.\u00a0 You are not required to come to attention unless it is ordered by a higher ranking officer. \u00a0You may only talk when given permission or when the request is allowed.<\/p>\n

*At Ease<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0– On the command AT EASE, you can relax and shift about, but kept your right foot in place.\u00a0 You may talk when given permission or when the request is allowed.<\/p>\n

*As You Were<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0– On the command AS YOU WERE you may follow the same protocol as at ease however, you may leave and continue about your business.<\/p>\n

*Form up<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0– On the command FORM UP, stop whatever you are doing to form ranks to the officer who gave the order.\u00a0 Upon forming ranks, you may be at ease until the attention order is given.<\/p>\n

THE UNIFORM<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0– When a member of the 331st is not in official military uniform, you are considered\u00a0OFF DUTY.\u00a0 You are not required to follow the above military protocols.\u00a0 However, you are still subject to orders from superior officers. \u00a0Uniforms are required during military appointments, meetings and of course, missions. \u00a0Failure to do so will be followed by disciplinary actions.<\/p>\n

COURTESY\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

It is important to maintain your military bearing and courtesy when in an official environment.\u00a0 Briefings, staff meeting, mission briefing, guild meetings and classes; these are all considered official environments.\u00a0 When you are in these environments, a professional military presence is required of you at all times.\u00a0 Once the official nature of the environment has ended, you are considered to be as you were for purposes of protocol.<\/p>\n

The term \u201ccommander\u201d may be used to describe anyone in a position of command and is not reserved for a specific rank.<\/p>\n

Due to the great diversity of service personnel present in the 331st Battalion, regulations specify that the honorific \u201csir\u201d should be used when addressing any personnel of higher rank than oneself, regardless of the species, gender or position of the addressee.<\/p>\n
